Saving NAV locations on desktop?

Is there any way to save shortcuts to certain google NAV locations on one of the screens, such that selecting it will launch NAV with this location preselected? I know the NAV app itself will cache history, but I dont know how complete it is or how far back it goes.. Id really like a way to keep a folder of locations on the desktop.

In Nova Launcher, long press on home screen> shortcuts> directions and navigation

Not sure about options for stock launcher

with stock launcher, long pressing on home screen just brings up a wallpaper selection choice! Im using stock launcher.
