Help Saving photos

Hello everyone, this is my first post as well as my first time using an Android phone. I apologize if this isn't in the right spot, I cannot find where it should be!

I bought an HTC EVO 4G, and suppose someone texts me a picture. If I want to save the photograph, it comes up as "photo.jpg already exists. Do you wish to overwrite?" and then I can only save one file to my downloads folder. How do I change the name of the photo's messaged to me? I have a lot of nice photos from family vacations texted to me, but cannot save them because the files just overwrite eachother.

Odd since the names of the photos should be different coming from the sender. In any case, after downloading the photo, use a file explorer such as ES file explorer or astro to move and /or rename the files.

Okay I downloaded ES File Explorer but am so lost. When I open the app, a whole bunch of folders pop up. How do I manage the files, such as photos that are still text messages?

You have to download the pic from the message, then go to the downloads, or messaging folder, whereever your default download is, then rename the file or move it elsewhere.

that works perfect...thank you so much for your help. Actually, they are e-mails not text messages, my mistake. The e-mailed pictures come as "photo.jpg", not the texts. Sorry for the confusion, but the app works perfect thank you so much.
