Saving pictures from an SD card to an droid ultra

Any advice/instruction on how to perform this task. I have the reader and put the SD card in it, then put it in the USB slot on PC. How do I get it from there to my new phone?

The answer ... connect your phone to your PC with a USB cable, install the drivers on your PC, use Windows Explorer to copy the files from the PC to the phone.
