Help Saying callers name

vessy

Newbie
Hi

Am I correct in assuming this should only happen when driving mode is on?

Mine keeps randomly saying the caller name or number which is very off putting as it doesn't stop when the phone is answered! only stops once it has completed saying the full number. Driving mode is off!

I've turned driving mode on and off but makes no difference, i've also noticed TTS is always running under the Voice comand service?

Could someone check if they also have TTS running with driving mode off.

Thanks

Settings> Voice input and output> Text to speech settings> Untick 'Driving Mode'

Please read previous posts. If you search "callers name" on the second page I found the answer.

If this doesn't fix the issue, play with the settings in the Voice input and output. I'm sure that u can solve it from there.

If again it doesn't fix the issue, please say which exact settings you have on and off and I will test them on my phone.

This tick box does exactly the same as turning on driving mode on the voice control screen!

All previous posts have been searched and read, hence why i'm posting.

Everything is turned off, & unticked, i'll receive a few calls fine, then all of a sudden it will read out the number and then not do it again.

Turning the phone off and back on stops the issue, until voice command is used again, driving mode not ever activated!

Think I have the same issue as you steslatt.
