Hi All.

I've been living in the HTC Desire forums for the past two years, but tomorrow I'll be taking delivery of a shiny new GS2 as my upgrade.

I'll more than likely be rooting it quite early on, as I have A LOT of TB backups I want to transfer across from my Desire. Just had a look at the Rooting guide, and it seems pretty straight forward.

I met some wonderful helpful people, who i consider friends over at the Desire Forum, and I hope to do the same here.

So i hope to chat to alot of you soon, and I'm sure I'll be asking alot of daft noob questions, as this is my first Galaxy.

Welcome to the world of the GS2! People round here are very friendly and willing to help, who knows i may even get the opportunity to spare some of my limited (often useless) information and tips!

Hello there! I've made exactly the same move as you, I've had my s2 for 6 weeks now (rooted for 5!) and... I loves it! Much easier to root, and no space issues either (yet!) - and a good choice of roms too.

I loved my Desire, but the S2 is deffo a step up. If you enjoy yours half as much as I'm enjoying mine, then, erm, I'll have enjoyed mine twice as... Yeah, welcome, innit!
