Root SBF question wiping cache/data

sarsho

Newbie
Question, the SBF tutorial says to select "wipe data/cache".
However, in the Android recovery system only gives options for
"wipe data/factory reset" or "wipe cache partition". which I should use?

+1.

Wiping caches cleans up temp files and files that make your phone faster.

It's safe to wipe them, but your first reboot will take minutes longer due to having to recreate them.

Wiping data means you have to reinstall apps so not something you want to do unless indicated.

Are you on .605 or .621, 'cause the .621 update makes rooting or installing a custom rom more work if you let it install. :D
