Root SBF'd .602 .... cant enter recovery, getting frustrated

downloaded rsd lite .. and the .602 sbf file and sbf'd

pulled battery once it was done, help power and homoe until the android with the triangle and !

cant get past that. i have tried both pressing both volume buttons at the same time and the search button with no luck

who can help me out ?

a little background as to why i had to sbf...

i flashed SSX 2.2 (2.3.7) earlier today and got it all set up. downloaded D2 bootstrap recovery and tried to enter recovery to make a backup of the way i had it set up

when i tried to boot into recovery it got stuck at the intial "google" screen and wouldnt go past that.

SSX is a 2nd-init ROM and needs you to flash ROM Manager 2nd-init Recovery and not the D2 Bootstrapper. As for recovery... you hold down both volume buttons at the same time... if it doesn't let you in, it is something with your phone hardware... stock recovery is untouched by anything that we do with Root/flashing ROMs... you do not have access to the bootloader and recovery is contained in it... so keep trying... do another battery pull and let it sit for a few minutes and try again.

good to know

its allset now, i ended up just sbf'ing to .602 stock and didnt get to wipe anything because i couldnt get into recovery. I was able to root, load D2 Boot and do a nand restore to apex

if i want to go back and forth between apex and ssx what do i have to do to avoid this int he future ? i really like apex but i would like to give ssx and cm7 a try

in the future on ANY 2nd Init rom do NOT use D2 Bootstrap. When using 2nd Init the only way to get into recovery is through Rom Manager and select "flash clockwork recovery" and select DroidX2ndInit. From then on you will go into Rom Manager and select Reboot into Recovery

ok i finally broke down and bought ROM Manager Premium, and Titanium Backup

now i see the option to flash the recovery for either 1init or 2init forms, which i get

alot of the 2init roms say to sbf back to stock .605 before flashing the rom, however when i put SSX on my phone i flashed it right from APEX through the D2 recover and it worked fine, its when i tried to go back into the recovery it got all messed up.

so my ultimate question is if i am running say Apex, which is 1int (or any other 1init) ... then i should be able to go into D2 bootloader and flash a 2init ROM from there ? with out putting the actual .602sbf on correct ? doing a full wipe of coarse.

and once i am in a 2init rom i have to flash the 2init recovery on rom manager instead of the regular one.

now with a 2init rom (SSX or CM7) installed and the 2init recovery installed in ROM manager, can i flash back to a 1init rom such as Apex ?
