Root SC 2.8 weird thing?

So I don't know if it's me or not, I am a first time rooter and this is my first experience with a rooted phone. I have upgraded to SC2.8 following these instructions. [Odin] Full EB01 Froyo leak, packaged ROMs w/root and new clockwork **UPDATED**2/11 - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

Now I have lost all my installed apps, but I believe that was expected. What is weird is some apps I download are not showing up after I re-download them. Apps like Titanium Backup Pro, Fruit Ninja, ANGRY BIRDS (OMG not Angry Birds!!!) ;). Anyone else had this issue?
 
Ok got titanium back up back, I was trying to download the key without downloading the free version first. Duh! Before I was trying to download multiple apps at once, I got titanium back up by itself and fruit ninja by itself, trying angry birds by itself now. So is single downloads a side effect of SC 2.8?

*update* Okay angry birds downloaded fine by itself. Weird.
 
I had too many FC and other problems with SC 2.8, have you tried SC 2.9 i think it is a much better build. I did a wipe and fresh install SC 2.9V, eb01 kernal and eb01 modem, my phone has had Zero FC in the few days since i installed it, better batt life, and better data. just thought you would like to know this from someone who has used both versions and are a heavy phone, text, and data user.

I haven't had any force close issues, maybe I am just imagining things.
