Root SC2.4/V: delete screen from default launcher

Hi all -

I'm trying out the default Froyo launcher in an effort to save some battery life and, unfortunately, it's been long enough since I used a stock launcher that I can't figure out how to delete one of the screens. The 'edit' button described in the manual doesn't seem to exist. Can someone help me out here?

I don't think you can on the custom super clean rom

You won't see a difference in battery life if you switch to another launcher at least one that's noticeable

since my battery life was so horrid with ADW, I figured it was at least worth a shot!
