Scam Alert!

REAL easy to prevent access to your account if you mistakenly do this, USE 2-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION! I have it turned on for both my Google-based accounts. Nobody's getting into my account without my phone or access to my list of "emergency" passcodes...

I got one with a app but when I tried it darn thing kept saying oops so I gave up hey glad to have you on my team good looking out :D:what::thumbup::thumbup:

That's what I do, Google Authenticator. I do it with Yahoo and QQ as well, except they send an SMS to my phone with a one time number I login with, in addition to the password.

What worries me a bit is that i just got a very similar email sent by my nephew (it had a different attatchment name) and my nephew swears he didnt send it so could a virus on his pc have sent it?
That makes it even more convincing but of course i didnt give it my password

Could be infected or hacked. I've had emails in the past from people I know using Yahoo, with the email saying they're in London or whatever, been mugged, lost their wallet, phone, passport, etc. and could I send them money.

This one was from his gmail. The subject was something beginning with mod.....
I was at the hospital and distracted when i deleted it so cant remember the full name

2step is something ive been meaning to do for AGES lol. Im not the most security conscious person but its about time i did it :)

Both my primary email accounts have been hacked or sold. Facebook a few years ago got caught selling their valid email lists to anyone that wanted to buy them. My Facebook email address was then used to get all my contacts. Everyone of my contacts started receiving spam. I had to notify everyone to ignore emails from that address. I cancelled my Facebook account and refuse to rejoin. Don't know how my other address was hacked but the same thing happened. I still get spam from my old Facebook address. Got one today selling Canadian drugs. And I cancelled my FB account at least 4 years ago after it was sold. Obviously it is still being used for spam. It's kinda funny, getting spam from my own email...
