Help Screen blank when ringing

Had my Sprint rep drop off a Moment for me to play around with...I've been using the Hero which I like but wanted to try the full keyboard on the Moment.

One BIG issue that popped up right away is about half the time, when I'm receiving an incoming call, the screen is blank and I have no idea of who's calling. The only way I've found to get the screen to turn on when this is happening is to open the slider.

Anybody else having this problem?

my screen pops on within half a second after pulling it from my pocket, so I can't say that I've seen this issue.

Happens to me as well. Can only chalk it up to the POS proximity sensor in this phone.

I remember someone talking about this at some point, saying it has something to do with using a custom ringtone vs a stock. Who knows?

I'm using the stock ring tones...Problem still happens...Sucks...I like the phone so far but this blank screen thing is driving me nuts and may force me back to the Hero.

I've recently had this issue start.. wasn't sure if it was related to lock 2.0 or not. but it has happened w/ Lock 2.0 on & w/ the stock lock feature

this is been happening lately it takes about 1-2 secs for the screen to wake while im receiving a call. most of the time i press the end button instinctively to wake the screen but that wakes the screen and ends the call. im so fed up already.

Mine does this a lot.
I usually miss calls, because I generally dont see who the call is until VM picks it up.

Doesn't matter if its pocket or desk.
Open or close.
on or off.

Hmm it may have happened once or twice, usually when I'm in the middle of doing something else, like composing a text message or something. It's a minor annoyance to me. Nothing to get all worked up over.

Again, just the day to day little things of a smart phone stuff that happens. My Blackberry has done the very same thing as well.

I have this issue also, although the screen usually turns on in time for me to see who is calling and to answer it. Either case, there is a definite delay.

This issue, which is intermittent, isn't a delay...I've let it ring until VM picks up and no screen wake up. Now also noticing that my proximity sensor isn't working all the time either...And also having Bluetooth connection issues. This phone is pretty buggy...

my proximity sensor is VERY consistent. Additionally I haven't been having any BT issues with my Ford/MS sync in my Fusion. You may have a defective unit?

I've had the same problem since day one. Always a delay to see who's calling.

Usually flashes just in time to see and answer the call. But sometimes it is just a dark screen.

I think there will be a fix for this is2.1 ( i hope ) From what I hear the delays on the rollout of 2.1 is they only want to have to update once, so they are ironing out everything they can.

where have you heard such things?

I really hope we don't have to wait until the 2.1 update to see any bug fixes... my aGPS makes me very sad right now!
