Help Screen brightness won't save

I'm getting beyond irritated now. Basically what is going on is my brightness will not stay at the setting that I set it at. I will lower the screen brightness and then once I shut off the screen and turn it back on it reverts to the brighter setting. This is killing my battery since it almost sets to fully bright. I'm running apex 1.3.1 any help would be awesome

You might try a widget called Brightness Level, by CurveFish, available on the Market. It works perfectly for me.

I'll check it out. As long as the brightness doesn't revert I'm fine.

I have tried two different brightness widgets. Neither of them are useful. The one I had originally worked fine, and I just developed this problem in the last week. Now, with either widget or with the settings > display > brightness manual changes, the brightness settings do not stick and revert to the old settings. I did just recently install words with friends, but I'd be surprised if that changed those settings, especially since the aforementioned settings are not included in the app's permissions. I'd really like a fix for this, as I have my battery at 0 brightness most of the time.
