Help screen BRIGHTNESS

No sir. Brightness is all the way up and box not checked. the first phone I had did the same thing so they had me send it back and they sent me a brand new one and it does the same thing Too.

Strange. I always have mine set to auto, so can't say whether this happens to me or not. You sure it's not your eyes. Lol, I jest. I'm out, sorry, I can't be of any more assistance.

My screen dims after some inactivity, but then it turns off. I assume you're talking about sustained on-but-dim?

For some reason the brightness of my screen dims at times. Power saving mode is off and I have 80+% battery.

Try going into display settings and un checking 'auto adjust screen tone'
Not sure if this will solve your issue but its worth a try ;)

No not after inactivity. This is during use. It just dims as if it's going from 100% to maybe 75%

I'll check that setting and get back....

It was not checked. and I also had the other setting on dynamic

Any chance your thumb (or other finger) is covering the ambient light sensor? It's one of the little openings at the top of the phone, by the ear piece. If you're inadvertently covering that, with the screen brightness set to dynamic, it'll faithfully adjust to the perceived ambient brightness.

that could quite possibly be it because I noticed whenever I'm holding the phone really close to my face typically Kicked up in my office and I move the phones were the different lighting that's when the phone changes.

The screen will dim when the phone starts to get too hot! When its on full brightness it will heat up quite quickly and the thermal circuit on the CPU will detect that the CPU and main board is getting too hot and will dim the screen to try help cool the phone! Try having the phone set to 80% brightness and it should stay there a bit longer. Try to keep your phone cool too!
