This happened just a few minutes ago... I was scrolling up and down on through my text messages and then I must have pressed one of the bottom capacitive buttons or something but all of a sudden I heard the camera shutter sound and wondered what happened. So i went to my gallery and saw the screen shot of my text messeges in a folder called screencapture. I'm not rooted. Shootme isn't installed. I just updated to froyo a few days ago. Now I can't figure out how it happened. I googled it and it seems that a few other people have done it on accident also. Anyone else?

i had this same thing happen to me while i was using my wikidroid app it screen captured the screen when i went to hit the home key really quickly, but i still cannot figure out how i did it. i work for tmobile and still couldnt find any known issues with this happening after doing the froyo update.

The same thing happened to me when I was on Rhapsody.i was pressing home a lot and all of the sudden(wat you described) happened. Stock froyo vibrant

this just happened to me while on Bank of America's mobile banking app, scared the crap out of me thinking i was on a hacked app. Anyhow, the back button/home procedure doesn't work for me.

I'm running stock Froyo 2.2, and the Screen Capture Service does nothing on my Samsung Vibrant SGH-T959. Haven't even captured the screen on accident without the Screen Capture Shortcut Free app.

Ive tried all these combinations and none have worked. Downloaded a screen shot app and it saves in two diff folders so I know its possible with out the app so how is it done????

I have a totally different phone, but I am running froyo, and on mine its tap both the "HOME" button and POWER/LOCK button simultaneously (without any screen capture app installed). It automatically saves to a folder called "captured." Hope this helps.
