I've had my Acer Iconia A500 for 3 days, and the screen completely stopped working, it was working fine i was using Blackboard for school and then it went black and stopped working, and no, it didnt die because the power button is on and it vibrates and makes the android sound, just no screen!!!

That kinda sounds like what happened to one I had. It would be ok then the screen would fade out. It was still on cause my power button was lit also but the screen wouldn't light up. My advice take it back and exchange it for another one.
