Screen Covers

I heard the Galaxy Nexus doesn't have Gorilla Glass, but does have another type of anti-scratch resistant material.

Is it recommended to buy a screen cover for the Galaxy Nexus?

it is recommended if you're prone to damaging the screen of your phone. How rough are you with your device? What has been your past experience with other devices? I've not had one on mine since day one in December. All is well.

I'm careful with my devices for the most part. My EVO 4G had a matte screen protector on it for 2 years and I don't see any scratches on it. I would prefer not using cases and screen covers if necessary.

So I was just curious how the screen on the Galaxy Nexus has held up for other people that haven't put covers on theirs, because I did see it's supposed to have a scratch resistant screen.

I bought my device used. There's a tiny scratch on the screen, but if that wasn't present, the guy could've sold it to me and said it was new.

So this screen is scratchable.

The screen most definitely scratches a SP is a great idea if you want to keep your device pristine! I highly recommended it I would go for a regular than a matte or anti glare one.

Thanks. I'm probably going to buy a Nexus this week.

I had a matte screen cover on my old phone, but didn't like it very much, so I'm definitely going with a clear one. Apparently the Steinheil covers don't cover the screen entirely though. Which brand would u recommend?
