Help Screen Cracked

I threw my phone out of frustration i know i know im stupid but ok the screen cracked and its still on but when i try to unlock the screen it wont let me get pass the home screen

Any recommendations on what I should do??
Do you think I can go to a repair store and get it fixed there or what should I do ?

If it were me, I'd buy a screen or bricked device off ebay and try to fix it myself. I've done that with digital cameras and a PSP, but that's not the route for everyone!

The panel costs around $50 where i am including handling. However, CafeKampuchia's solution seems best to me.
