Help Screen digitizer replaced but now it just vibrates

I ordered the replacement digitizer and replaced it according to the instructions (from http://androidforums.com/htc-vivid/530677-htc-vivid-screen-repair-guide.html). After I put it all back together, I held the power button down and nothing appeared on the screen. Oddly enough, all the phone does is vibrate every 9 or 10 seconds. It will only stop vibrating if I remove the battery. When I put the battery back in, it will only start vibrating if I try to turn it on or I plug it in. I feel like the repeated vibrating is a diagnostic code of some sort, but I can't find anything online.

The phone was working prior to replacing the digitizer.

Any ideas?

I've contacted RepairsUniverse to see what they say, and am waiting to hear back. I've also called HTC Out Of Warranty Repairs for AT&T (1-888-354-2375) and have a ticket open with them. I'll soon be sending my phone to HTC, but if there's something easy I can do myself, I'd rather do that.

I've got the exact same problem with my HTC Sensation. I replaced the screen digitizer and now it vibrates every 10 seconds and the screen won't come on.

Hard reset didn't work and I tried to checked all connections and every looks ok...

On my HTC vivid I just replaced a cracked screen and when I put it back together and powered it on, the screen flashes blue for about 2 seconds, goes black, and then proceeds to vibrate every 10 seconds or so. Would love some advice if anyone has a solution for this! Did I break something or is a connection bad?

I have exactly this symptom and situation.

I replaced the digitizer and when I attempt to power it up, the screen lights dimly for a second then it vibrates every 10 or 15 seconds. This continues until the battery is removed.

I verified all the connectors and even tried another digitizer since I bought two of them.

But no go.

I'll report back if I can figure out what's wrong or what to do.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

I've just acquired an HTC Vivid/Holiday/Raider hat vibrates every 15 seconds, nothing else.
The previous owner had a go at changing the digitizer and after which it did not work.

Looking over it, I have found the LCD cable has a tear in the corner.
The picture I have attached was taken at 20x with a USB microscope.
Due to the wire size, repair is extremely unlikely.
I have ordered a new LCD which I suspect will fix the problem.

I had the same problem. After replacing my cracked digitizer with a new one the screen would no longer power-on/light up vibrating every 10 seconds. I then replaced the LCD screen and voila, phone saved!

My guess is the vibrating must be some kind beep code similar to a computer. I looked all over the place and couldn't find anyone who replied to one of these threads. I hope this helps someone else out. Good luck.
