Help screen display battery usage

Hi. I recently reduced my screen brightness slider from full to halfway but the battery usage is still showing that the display is using about 60%. Is this normal as it seems pretty high to me?

Not really... it depends how long you have your screen on for.

Try checking it first thing in the morning when you wake up.

Yeah it's normal. Mine's usually 50-70%

i find exactly the same thing, unless I have screen brightness on minimal, it eats battery at a shocking rate. seems a bit dumb when one of the selling points of the phone is it's screen!!
have updated to latest firmware and has improved a little.
it's my only gripe with the phone.
anyone know any tweaks???

if u use ur phone a lot, ur screen will be one of the biggest battery drains, better get used to it if its on standby a lot, u'd notice ur display usage drop to around 15% or less, depending of course..

The amount of time the screen is on, is just that, it does not take account of the brightness level, so you will get better battery life with a lower brightness level.
