Help Screen display blank when using camera or scanner

My Camera and Scanner works still however the screen display is black and blank.

It was working a few weeks ago and since then i noticed this week im able to take photos still and view them etc.... but when actually taking a photo the screen display is blank- black screen.

Unsure why? has anyone experienced this?

Initial thought would be to do a "clear data" on the camera app via the applications menu.

However I've seen this before on a camera firmware update.
It may be worth attempting to re-download your firmware
