Since October I've owned a Samsung Galaxy Nexus bought barely used off eBay. It had worked flawlessly until two days ago.
I was using it when all of the sudden the screen got really bright and all the colors looked washed out; there were thin horizontal lines across the screen too. The screen's brightness wouldn't change.
I immediately turned the phone off. When I turned it on again, I saw the Google logo but only partially and only for a split second and it was a green. From there the screen went black.
Once Android loaded, I could touch blindly--the screen is still black--and the phone would respond. For example, I could turn on data and the mobile hotspot since I knew where those widgets were located on the home screen.
When I hit the screen on/off button, nothing happens. When I hit it again, to turn the screen on, I get the split second flicker of the home screen then blackness again.
Is this fixable? If so, how?
