Help Screen goes black...

....while I'm on the phone [which makes sense because of the proximity sensor), but then it stays black when i move it away from my ear.

This has happened twice today. I just bought it a week ago. Is it defective?

this happens to me also, i just hit one of the volume buttons and the screen comes on.

if you are rooted you can also use Rom toolbox or any root explorer to edit the build.prop and make the sensor more or less sensitive to your personal preference.
