Help Screen is missing apps

Ok, so here is the issue....

I reboot the phone and my screen has a wallpaper and all of my apps. If I leave the main page to check a text, email, make a call, use an app.....when I hit the home button I go back to the main screen and all I have is wallpaper. All my app icons are gone. I have the apps on the pull up, but no apps on the wallpaper screen.

Help, I am going to throw it out the window..

A couple of questions - is this a stock phone or rooted?

Are you using the default App Drawer / Launcher or a 3rd party one?
