Help Screen keeps going black

Hi everyone, it seems that the screen on my GS2 keeps randomly going black. Or at least I think it's random, it might be tied with messaging as it seems to follow when I check my SMS messages. I end up having to hold the power key, the buttons at the bottom flash and then I press and hold the power button again and it turns on. Any ideas on why this could be happening?

I have the same problem and 3 told to update everything, which have, then they told me if I wanted to get it fixed it would take about 8-10 days. Told them no and wait for the next update.
