Help screen killing my battery

i downloaded voltage control extreme and i want to see if it can reduce my battery usage my display is killing my battery it using 91% of it:mad: where on voltage control is the display and how could i find it

I dimmed my display some (still plenty bright), then undervolted processor by 50mv on each clock cycle and set governor to pegasusq (uses hot plugging to suspend the sceond core when not in use), then went through and debloated removing apps that i would never use, set my email to only check on 30 minutes. i am getting 15 to 18 hours now. Yeah am on a rooted phone

i did the same as you did i reduced everything by 50mv, i rooted my phone as well, so and i have no wall paper on my lockscreen and wallpaper when i fully charge my battery in a bit i'll pull it off the charger and see how things go in a bit

i was able to cut my screen display to 43% on battery which is really good for me hope i get 10 to 15 hours of battery life after that cut

With my display brightness turned down pretty far which is still fine for inside use and on outside you can quickly change the brightness
(long press on the top notification bar then slight right or left to raise or lower brightness). I am getting very improved battery life. My screen only accounts for 29% of battery use which is less than the android OS at 33%.
I am still at 42% battery with being up and going with average use on web, messaging, phone and watching video) for almost 12 hours now. Yeah I will definitly say the screen brightness is the battery hog.

same issue with me too, i the beautiful widgets also is a bit of a hog when it comes to my battery, i stoped using beautiful widgets last night and fully charged my battery before i went to bed 18 hours later i had 73% of battery just using my phone to check email mms and a little web here and there

I am a battery whorr too and have taken pride in charging after long periods.

Lately I am accepting that my phone/plan is there to be used and if I do not use this resource it is being wasted.

You are paying for it so might as well use it and enjoy!

I like long battery life while actually using it. My time represents me using it normally doing web surfing, watching video, texts. calling etc.

hello., i have the brighness to the lowest on my phone. But how you got 29% of screen usage? I see my screen uses the much power and the screen is to the lowest

That is a percentage which means I was doing other things that consume more power. I do run the display in the power save mode in the power save options on GA10. The biggest power use I have is actually WiFi. I changed the setting for that to allow it to sleep when the phone does and now I can easily go a couple days without charging.

Hey codegerm what kernel are you using and what script or program did you use to undervolt? I don't see the governor you mentioned?? I would like to try out your settings to see if i can get better battery life:)

Yeahhh i was wondering how is that you lower the voltage??

I am afraid to to rooting on the phone, is that what are you talking about?

Or... you know, you could search and get an extended battery for it.

I'm waiting for mine to come in on monday.

To undervolt I use Tegrak overclock which uses it's own controls as the kernel for GA10 doesn't support it directly. for sleep of the second core when not in use I believe On demand governor should do that, if not there is cpu sleeper dual core.

The extended battery is too fat, I don't like the way it makes the phone look.
