Screen looks washed out compared to others

They do look quite different I'm viewing on my phone. They both have the same software versions and kernels? Go to about phone and check

Really odd they would be that different. I'll have to re-hash my previous post and say you should return it if you're not happy with. I don't think I would be happy with that. Almost looks like one GN is an LCD :p

I generally find people around here are way too nitpicky and quick to send back a phone, but unless your camera is playing tricks, there is a clear difference in the quality of those two screens. I know my friend's GN has a slightly brighter screen than mine, but neither look as washed out as yours.

It's peculiar the more I look at those photos it looks like the brightness and/or levels are off. The first picture shows it best if you look close at the live phase beam wallpaper the noise in the blues/purples compared to the one on the left.

Washed out I understand, but more noise in the photo on one phone vs the other is weird. The next button on the keyboard is blue on one and green/teal on the other. Wild!

The one with the mobile network settings...looks like LCD backlight bleed.

Return that GN if it really looks like this.

Mine has a slight purplish tint to some of the greys, but certainly not as bad as yours. If it was that bad I think I would send it back for replacement. This is my third device, and the first one had the best screen out of all three, but had terrible radio signal issues. This one has the worst screen but the signal is so much better that I'm not exchanging it.

Let us know what you decide to do. Just remember its your device and you deserve to be happy with it.

I had the same problem....only noticed it because i had previously returned one for heavy banding...returned again and this one has no banding or washed out issues.....YAY!

Did you get the phone from asurion? I got a replacement Thunderbolt from them and I had an issue with the power button not feeling right. I called them up and they had no problem sending me a brand new from factory phone at no cost. When I had my Fascinate I returned that thing to the Verizon store 3 times in the first month. Don't forgot all these phones have a one year warranty. If you don't like it, send it back. No one will question it. At the end of the day, you paid alot of money for something that cost them significantly less and you should walk away happy with your purchase.

No I didn't but thanks for the advice. I got it from the big river, and they have a 30 day return policy, so it won't be a problem. Something feels strange about sending back a phone twice though. I'm just gunna go ahead and do it though

Hope 3rd times the charm

No reason at all to feel bad about sending a phone back again. You signed up for this phone for two years and you paid good money. You held your end of the deal. Now it is their turn to provide you with a satisfactory phone. Hopefully the phone they send will be legit so you can enjoy it to the fullest!!

Hey, I was in the same boat as you, only I returned two Rezounds ultimately for a Nexus within one 30 day return period. Amazon's customer service throughout was great, the reps were professional and understanding the entire time.

I had this exact same issue. After several exchanges I gave up and returned it, back on my trusty dx now. There are for sure some quality control issues going on at samsung. Loved the phone other than the screen probs. Good luck with your replacement.

What about doing a warranty claim directly through Samsung? I mean Verizon only gives us till January 15th, but these devices have a one year warranty, right?

good point! What is the deal with activations and exchanges through Amazon, anyone know?

It is my understanding that as long as I am not canceling or changing my service in anyway, I can just keep switching my sim card into different devices, and I only need to worry about the 30days Amazon gives me. Is this correct, or after the 15th of January I will be charged if I switch even though Amazon will exchange? anyone have any clarification with this

Also do you think a warranty exchange through Samsung would product better quality products? would an exchange through Samsung effect activation fees through VZW?

Thanks in advance
