Root Screen NOT rotating

Ok. So I flashed CM6 and am liking it and all, but for some reason when i rotate my phone to text, or get online, or whatever...it won't rotate back. I have left a bug report on bug genie, but just in case it is something I am doing or did wrong i am leaving this here too. Just for the record I did a small search for this and didn't come up with anything for the Ascend. I had CM7 and nothing like this happened. Now with CM6 so far, it's the only bug I have come across. I have to reboot to get it to rotate. Then once I txt or something...it doesn't rotate back. Maybe a setting or two that I can mess with? or maybe a fresh flash? Thanks to EVERYONE for all your hard work on these. Truly, You are appreciated!

I just thought of something, I went to Settings/Cyanogenmod settings/user interface/Accelerometer rotation and saw that all three 90, 180, & 270 are all checked. Maybe something I need to change there? TIA!

Tried that too. It will rotate fine until AFTER i msg or type anything...then just stays in the last place until i reboot.

That is weird it worked for me but i flash a lot did you keep a back up of 6

I am actually on 6 now. But yes I have a backup of it also. I leave it on 90 and it works ok. A little slow to rotate, but it does work. Thanks for responding

Its wise to backup your current rom everynow and then incase you stumble across a bug and don't have to flash it all over again.

Pip posted the confirmed fix on the Wiki. I believe its cyanogenmod settings/performance/lock home app in memory . Make sure it's checked and you should be good to go

Try the Lock Home App in Memory fix..only on your launcher as well as CM settings. This happened to me every time i sat the phone down before I applied this fix. Good luck.
