So the guys at Costco tell me it comes with Gorilla Glass, as do all models in the Samsung Galaxy lineup - is this correct?
 
Im not so sure. I just picked one up today to give it a try and the first time I cleaned the screen I noticed a small hair line scratch on it. If it wasn't there when I bought it and the Oakley microfiber cloth did it then I'm not impressed. I'm not terribly happy about it, but its super thin and can only be seen under direct bright light with the screen off. If I decide to keep it it shouldn't bother me too bad as other scratches will follow. That and I doubt its worth exchanging as its so light.
 
Thanks - I really like the Galaxy, as I'm coming from an iPhone. Now just need to figure which one to get...Captivate or the Vibrant...

If you want to experience the full freedom of Android, get the Vibrant with T-Mobile. AT&T always puts so many restrictions on their devices, both Android, and otherwise. The apps that they don't want you to install they will bar you from being able to download. It's like having a guardian, and I am way past putting up with that!
 
I just noticed looking at the screen with a very bright light that there are all kinds of lines running under the screen. They look kinda like scracthes, but under the glass on the LED display. I'm not sure what the are. Anyone else see that? The scratch I mentioned earlier is faint and on the glass, these are under it.
