Help Screen on with sms?

I was wondering if there was a setting somewhere that would make the screen turn on when you receive a sms message so all you have to do is unlock it instead of having to press the power button and then unlock every single time.

If you are using the stock text app you can try sms popup. That will turn the screen on and show a pop up of the text. Or an app like noled which will display a small icon on the screen then you tap the home key to take you to the lock screen

Other than using a 3rd party app that would use a pop up or something to wake the screen. I don't think there is a setting that will do that.
