Screen protector advice (Best option)

I thought the same thing until others came on and reported that they had scratches. Metal doesn't scratch but apparently other materials do.

The only thing that can scratch glass is something that's harder than glass, which isn't much. I guess if you had a diamond ring in your pocket?

For anyone looking for a screen protector...go get a boxwave screen protector. I personally have the one that is NOT the anti-glare and I love it. I initially had invisible shield but the guy that installed it at the mall did such as bad job I went back three days later and asked for a refund. I then had ghost armor but they did such as poor job as well and my finger wouldn't slide across the screen nicely. I thought the boxwave was a little expensive at first but it is worth every penny. Application is SO easy and it's smooth as glass. Absolutely no bubbles and perfect fit. Touch responsiveness has also improved with the boxwave. No doubt the best screen protector.

As I noted in another thread, I have tried the VZW, ZAGG and now Boxwave (clear, not anti-glare) protectors. By far the best of the group is the Boxwave.

I haven't tried Boxwave but I have had Zagg and 3M' they both leave sticky and are no good. However I found out about PhantomSkinz and I must say it is top rate! Crystal clear with absolutely no sticky feeling, and it is pretty smudge proof, I'm a oily bastard and I barely ever have to wipe the screen.

I like the Ghost Armor. I had it on my Touch Pro and people liked it better than their Invisishield. It's $15+ shipping at Ghost Armor. You get a full kit since they are doing a "Launch Special". I will probably peel the sides off since I hate the way it feels, but the screen and back aren't bad. It's pretty smooth and no orange peel effect. Comes with squeegee and solution, applies like window tint/film.

I have not tried or seen the Boxwave or PhantomSkinz.

As the for the 3-pack types, those usually are the worst. There is a reason why they give you more than one at a time...

The Boxwave one looks similar to the 3-pack styles.
The PhantomSkinz looks similar to the Ghost Armor. Nice that it comes with two. The features are the same. I don't know what I would pick if I weren't an owner of Ghost Armor previously.

OK THIS THREAD SHOULD BE KILLED. BOXWAVE IS THE BEST HANDS DOWN. EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY! lol. No...really. I've used Invisible Shield, Ghost Armor, and BoxWave. Boxwave was the best in every aspect.

This thread has definitely convinced me to get Boxwave over Invisi-shield, Phantom, and the mirror shield skin. Thanks for the reviews!
But one question burns in my mind.....
Why are people preferring Clear over anti-glare? Is anti glare not worth it for the Droid? I was driving today with GPS and there was tons of glare so Im thinking anti glare boxwave skin can be my best friend, but I dont seem to see many ppl who are getting it? Maybe those who have love it so much that they can't find the time to write about their experiences without taking their eyes of their droid :D

I just installed my Clarivue Anti-Glare and I am very happy with it. I too had sun problems in the car and also being outside, and I think this will help. So far, smudges are way down, and screen feedback, sensor whatever has not changed. Whichever company you go with, get the anti glare, I've had them on my iphone, then storm, and now droid, all different companies but all were the same,

Its purely a matter of personal preference. I got the Boxwave ClearTouch anti-glare for my Touch Pro and hated the anti-glare, well not hated but I disliked it enough to turn around and order the Crystal version within a couple weeks.

Anti-glare has a matte finish to diffuse the reflections and also helps minimize fingerprints. BUT the matte creates a loss of clarity, and its more than noticeable when compared to a naked screen and has an almost superfine cloth feel to it when compared to the Crystal ones.

The ClearTouch Crystal protectors feature 99% opical clarity and a slick glass like surface but they do suffer from glare.

I would much prefer dealing with the glare just for saving the optical clarity , IMO.

After reading yours, Crystal seems more appealing now. Such a hard decision...do I want anti glare or smooth crystal feel....

do the Crystal protectors prevent fingerprints and smudges?
