0.4mm is fairly thin for a glass screen protector. The Spigen Glas TR covers are 0.5mm. I don't think you will get a glass one that is materially thinner.
The plastic ones are a lot thicker than 0.01mm. I think you may have your decimal point in the wrong place there.
It very much a matter of personal taste, but I hate plastic screen protectors and they all feel horrible compared to glass. They all feel slightly sticky, which is inevitable as they aren't as hard as glass. They are also a pain to put on and I have yet to see a single one that is completely smooth and dust and bubble free.
I dare say there will be a queue of people disagreeing with me and saying how the one they use is great and you can't tell it's there. They will be wrong.

I stand corrected. 0.15mm really is thin. I might look at one of those myself.
I haven't tried anything but flexible plastic / films in the past.
The new Glass protectors have grabbed my interest.
My questions:
1) What about air bubbles trapped between the protector and display?
2) How hard is it to get them properly aligned so as to be centered and look good?
3) What about the tactile experience and responsiveness to touch?

I'll try to answer:
1-Luckily it went on great, had 1 tiny bubble that went away
after a day. Instructions from Spigen actually say to give it time
for bubbles to remove themselves.
2-I use the scotch tape method. I line it up exactly as I want.
Put 2 tiny strips of tape on right side with both covers still on protector.
Then when it is perfect, remove the back strip and slowly apply right to left.
This method works for any protector, been using this tip for years.
3-This is the best part of the glass protector. I think it is actually
better than the naked screen. Very good with fingerprints and silky
smooth with the swiping, etc. Like I said I was totally amazed and ease
and the feel of these protectors. Downside was price. $34.99!!!!!
Yeah, you don't want to screw up on the installation, I would be pissed
if I screwed up on the installation.
