Help Screen Protector for a500

I am normally a protective screen kind of guy but I have been running my A500 with no protector for 2 1/2 months and recommend using it this way, the Gorilla glass does smear a little but I only see that when the screen is off.

It's Gorilla Glass? didn't know that...I know my htc Incredible is GG but the Iconia feels much more flimsy. How are you liking your tablet? Any tips??

I noticed in last week's Best Buy ad they had free installation with purchase of a Zagg protector. Putting mine on was a huge PITA, and I still managed to get a couple pieces of dust stuck underneath, so I'd recommend having them do it because if they screw up you can demand a fresh one.

I love the A500, very good especially since the update to 3.1. :D

I started out with one of the Acer covers but now have a leather case, much prefer it over the Acer case. :)

Do all the updates, buy a 3G version, I only have the WiFi version and tether through my Galaxy S, this works well most of the time but it would have been a little more versatile if I could have the choice of connections through different carriers, free WiFi is not so common where I live so for you it may not be worth it.

I have had good luck also without a screen protector. The glass on the A500 seems to be pretty tough, my screen is completely scratch free.

I'm hoping Seidio comes out with a screen protector for the Acer. I have one on my EVO and it's my favorite screen protector ever. Feels like glass. Might not be quite as tough as Zagg (maybe) but feels much better. I had Zagg on my Hero but this is much better. A guy I work with has been converted and bought one for his Xoom (they do make them for iPad and Xoom). Even with Gorilla Glass I'd want to protect it.

The glass is not scratchproof which I have just found out, just went to use my iconia A500 and found a scratch on it, bad times......

OUCH.. I have and use the Ghost Armour. Personally I think its great. It has been scratched and nicked and it seems to just wipe off. Yes i know its not the same as above but I swear by their product.

Try bestskinsever.com, it's the same as Zagg(imo) i've been using them for at least 3+ years(palm pre then EVO) , yea it's a pain to put on, but the results are great and no finger prints to wipe off. Very cheap too.

Don't know how you managed to do that but back luck. I have always had a case o mine and have changed from an Acer case to a cheap leather case and it always covers the screen when I am not using it so have never been close to a scratch.

From what I have been told and I have seen to be true, all Android products have Gorilla Glass. At least the high end stuff does.
