screen protector or ghost armor?

I know theres already some threads regarding this but i have some questions.

1. Has anyone here had ghost armor before? Im considering a full ghost armor for my nexus as i plan to purchase and use the car dock alot. Had the dock for the atrix and loved the handsfree calling/gps and my music.

Wont get as much music out of the nexus due to only having 16gb with no SD.

Is there a better option then ghost armor?

Thanks in advance.

I have been using full Ghost Armor or full Zagg for my last 6 phones. Since I am not a big fan of cases I wanted some protection for my phone from scratches. I think Ghost Armor and Zagg are the same. People say Zagg gets a yellow tint but I have never noticed it. I also tend to let the people at the Kiosk apply them because they look like a lot of work. A couple things I have noticed for both. Corners after awhile start to peel. I do take my phone in and out of pockets alot so that may be part of it. They are great for protection against scratches they will not protect against drops. My skins get very scratched up which is fine because it is not the phone that is being scratched. The final thing is depending on the phone, certain places may not be completely protected. On my current HTC Sensation, the outer edge around the screen is slightly raised above the screen. While my screen is protected that small part surrounding it is not and has gotten scratched. This problem will depend on the design of the phone. Overall I would recommend spending the money on either one and let them apply it. If there is any problem there is also a warranty.

Isnt google music data intensive?

I also had my atrix in an otterbox defender fir eight months and never dropped it. Alot of ppl including bell rep said this phone doesnt need a screen protector because its "scratch-proof". I dknt really want to test this id rather just ghost armor the whole thing.

Also where would you suggest i look for an extended battery? I use my phone quite alot and im getting about 8hrs between charges.

I've used Zagg's on all of my iPhone's and a few of my Droids and I never noticed the yellow tinting as well. It seems that all the Ghost Armor/Invisible Shields are pretty much the same. You do have to check the design of the phone though as stated above some areas don't get protected.

yeah you're prob right regarding data and streaming the music. i'm not sure tbh. i don't stream because i work off a computer plus i carry a 16gb ipod nano.
the bell rep lied to you. "scratch resistant" is a much more accurate description. over a week and no scratches on my shiny new toy at all ;)
8hrs between charges  i guess you use it a lot. i get 2 days. not sure where to get an extended. i personally don't trust after market non-OEM parts. i would honestly suggest picking up a second standard battery :)

Put a screen protector on it. Whether it is the glass itself or the oleophobic coating, it can be (relatively) easily scratched. Mine is living proof...

i dont use it that much, few calls texts web browsing facebook etc

I used to be able to get 12 hours+ outta atrix and that was listening to music for 6 or so hours at work.

There is no samsung extended battery option? I dont care about not having music. Ill probably jusy buy an ipod for my aux input on my truck and for work music.

just bit the bullet, went to the local mall and had a ghost armor screen protector custom cut for my nexus.

it costs 21$ and when the full kit comes in, in a week or two according to the guy they will put full armor on for an additional 15$.

on top of that its lifetime warranty, so for 5$ they will replace your screen, or 10$ the whole armor.

seems like the best option for those who do not want a case.

As i stated i plan to use the docks alot (car and most likely a nightstand dock) if i was getting a case it would be an otterbox defender. I dont feel like taking the defender on and off several times a day.

I also like the feel / size of phone alot so id rather keep it naked.

The carbon fiber Ghost Armor is a great product. I had mine installed at the ghost armor kiosk at the Bridgewater Commons Mall in Bridgewater, NJ.

I just use a xo skins screen protector Screen Protector | Screen Protectors | Shield | XO Skins with a case. The case saves it from a drop the screen protector stops everything else. With the newer textured or teflon backs, the skins dont last very long and end up peeling. Unless you have an iphone 4, I dont see the point in a full skin

+1 for XO skins. Best screen protector I've ever used and I've used a lot since my BlackBerry curve days.

I have been using Ghost Armor since my original Droid. I've had it on EVERY device - including my Nexus and my Transformer.

LET THEM INSTALL IT. It is worth it.

BTW, I'm a "screen only" guy - I don't armor the rest of the phone/device.

IMHO, worth every penny.
