Screen protector

Hi, I just bought my LG Optimus One 5 days ago, and I absolutely love it, but the screen protector that comes with the phone, (already applied when in box), got scratched up, and me going all ape shit due to the scratches, it appeared to be on the screen and not on the phone, but when I removed the screen cover there was no scratch, ecept a very small one at the top left corner of the glass (off the screen), and I wanted to know from everyone else's experience, how durable is the screen and how resistant to scratching is it, because I would really rather not have to go out and buy a new screen protector for 20 bucks, (since buying online is not an option for me).
Thanks

The screen guard has proved quite durable for me. I would really suggest you to get a new scratch guard, coz its quite risky when you have a touch phone. once it gets scratched, the whole thing would start looking weird... You wouldn't wanna spend around a 100 dollars on a screen panel!

Its durable for me too. The only issue I faced so far are 2 bubbles that formed on the upper right corner of the screen guard, but otherwise its fine.

The screen protector that comes with it unfortunately won't stay on forever. To help it stay on longer try not to put it in your pocket, it sliding in and out can start to peel the one little edge off the top off. Then it gets worse and worse. If you get a new shield I suppose any will do. Its better then nothing! Some are a lot more coarse then others and it may effect performance while playing games. I have an invisisheild by zagg which are hands down the best as far as I'm concerned, but they are very very coarse. Almost impossible to scratch right through them though because they are military grade. It is a cheap phone and inexpensive to replace, but shields in stores are only about $20-$30 CAD.
