Screen Protector?

Hey guys

looong time lurker, finally posting..just picked up my gnex about an hour ago..absolutely love it..coming from an OG droid, its incredible..anyways, was wondering who bought a screen protector?

the salesperson at verizon wanted me to get one but i said no, since they are overpriced there anyways..if im going to get one id rather get it online and save some $$

so, are you guys getting a screen protector? if so, which one

my OG droid was always naked, and aside from a few scratches on the back, it was fine

Thanks!

I grabbed a pack of 3 off ebay for a couple bucks. They are the hard plastic type that are super simple to put on.

over on xda there have been several people saying theirs got scratched very easily, so I would say just get one. The cheaper ones are usually close in quality to more expensive ones, sometimes I think they are exactly the same.

Good bets are always SGP, XO Skins, Zagg, and some other popular brands you will see pop up with a quick search.

TONS of these threads on every phone's forum...literally millions of opinions on it.

I used Skinomi with good results. Never tried others though.

I'm going to give it a go without one. See how this Samsung "fortified glass" does. Every screen protector I've ever had has made the phone look pixely, but they were certainly essential on every other phone I've had. So we'll see!

I have used XOSkins for years. Theirs are tough and don't have orange peel. There are a lot of threads on here on this. Don't gamble with this phone. A lot of people in europe have already scratched theirs. This video shows you them very well.

i wouldn't go with SGP. the cuts are not edge to edge on the Oleo. the Flex is edge to edge but there is slight orange peel effect.

my phone has been naked for over a week. not one single scratch and i'm enjoying not having a piece of plastic on that screen. i've thought about what if i get a little scratch and it doesn't bother me. for the first time i have a Nexus Android device and i want the full user experience.

Picked some up but hate when I get one spec of lint trapped between the screen and protector. Otherwise I always had good luck with Ghost Armor

i got the verizon version for the GNex and they suck pretty bad. they make the screen look grainy. I took mine off and tossed it. I'm open for other ideas.

Just ordered the XO version on these recommendations, hopefully it isn't too bad. I normally hate using them but I'd be devastated if I scratched the nexus screen right away...
