I ordered some screen protectors for my Photon from Amazon. They were just under $3 for 3 of them (they're sold in packs of 3). It works well, although despite my best efforts, I have a couple tiny bubbles due to dust that got under there during installation. The nice thing is that they cover the entire screen, unlike the OtterBox screen protector, which for some strange reason leaves the bottom row of buttons exposed. I'd post a link but I don't know if the forum allows it, and I can't (easily) find the forum rules to know.

Thanks guys. I have no idea why the sprint rep sold me these after handling my phone to transfer contacts from my old phone. I specifically asked, "Do you have screen protectors for the Photon?" But, it's also my fault for not double checking before I purchased and left. Anyway, I'm going to take them back and trade them for the MoPho ones.
Maybe the Sprint ones aren't any better than the $3 ones on Amazon. I might just order those and just get these refunded.

There are several choices, but these are the ones I ordered (link below). I decided against the "matte" type since several people said it made the screen harder to see. They seem to be exactly like the OtterBox screen protectors (same material, same adhesive), except that they cover the entire screen.
They are very easy to take off when you need to (the adhesive is really weak, though not so weak that the protector will come off or move). I advise you to clean the screen well before installation, and try to hurry. My failing is that I kept trying to align it "perfectly", and that's when bits of dust got under there. Also, if you keep lifting it from the edge(s) or corner(s) like I did when I kept trying to realign it, those edges/corners won't EVER adhere (same thing happened to me with the OtterBox protector).

Chris Chavez from PHANDROID NEWS posted a 'HOW-TO' video on screen protector installation.
As silly as that may sound, we all know how aggravating it can be to install one of these & have it look nice.
Try a YOU TUBE search for the video.
Also, if you opt for a ZAGG screen protector,it has a lifetime warranty, but, it has an 'Orange Peel' grainy effect.
It doesn't bother me, but, before plunking down approximately $20 for one of these, it's something to keep in mind.

Do these go all the way to the edge/border? I ordered some early on and the cuts leave like a 1mm unprotected area around the entire glass/screen portion of the phone.

No, they leave a gap of about 2mm around the entire screen. I didn't really notice until I checked just now for you because I have the OtterBox Commuter case, which pretty much covers that gap.

Here is the aforementioned Chris Chavez screen protector video. The method he uses is--IIRC--the way they tell you to do it in the enclosed instructions. I did read them, but I guess I was a bit thick that day. I'm also used to installing Zagg screen protectors, which are a whole different animal (and I'm actually pretty good at those, honestly!).

Thanks for confirming. Yeah, that's the only thing I didn't like.
I'm actually thinking of trying another, but at the same time, I may be upgrading again in July, so not sure it's worth it.

Although the GORILLA GLASS is supposed to be scratch resistant / scratch proof, I've been using a screen protector since Day One, too chicken s*** to trust its durability.
Anyone out there who has had the PHOTON for quite a long time who hasn't been using a screen protector & can attest to the ruggedness of the GORILLA GLASS? (Keys, loose change, etc..)

That's way too difficult a question for most of the dopes that work at the wireless stores.

Thanks. I went ahead and ordered some regardless of whether I decide to return or exchange them.
Yeah, I had done a bit of research about the different types of screen protectors, and almost went with Zagg, but apparently they also have some sort of gummy or grippy feel that I didn't want, along with the orange peel.
Oh good, it looks like my Otterbox will cover that as well.
Yeah, I'm too afraid also. I think I read that they can still scratch, but I'm not sure what all it takes to scratch them. Anybody?

I went without a screen protector for a while on the EVO (and I pocket all my phones, without a case). It stood up with no scratches and I always had my keys in my pocket or something else in my pocket that easily could've scratched the glass, if it weren't Gorilla Glass, so I'd imagine the MoPho would be no different.
But just like you, I was still paranoid, so after trying tons of different manufacturers, I found SGP made the absolute best protectors that also covered every inch of the glass on the EVO. I've been hoping this entire time that they'd make one for the Photon, but unfortunately they never did.

I had Best Buy put a Zagg clear cover on mine before I completed buying the phone. I admit the cover surely adds traction/friction as compared to the gorilla glass, but it is just a habit of mine to slap a Zagg on each phone I buy. Never really tested the Photon without the cover.
But I also rarely (like never) put my phone in the same pocket as =anything= like coins, keys, metal, ... ...

I used to think Invisible Shield was the best screen saver out there, but after I discovered others, I've never gone back. Invisible Shield gets 1 of 2 issues. Either it gets the orange peel effect and/or it feels like rubber instead of glass.

Ah, I see. That makes sense why the glossy feel isn't as important to you.
The "orange peel" effect is a combination of 2 explanations that I've seen. 1) screen protector tends to start discoloring and look "yellowish/orange" and 2) There are these little bubbles that form (that are supposed to go away or sometimes come up after a while) that look like the top of an orange. Some have experienced it, while others haven't. I had the invisible shield on my Mogul, Touch Pro, and EVO. I didn't know what the "orange peel" effect was until I got my EVO and at that point, I also realized that I had the same thing on my Touch Pro. That's when I discovered the SGP screen protectors. Loved the fact that they were dry install, but also less prone to scratching than the inexpensive ones from China (although, I am using one of those now and don't mind, since SGP is not available for the Photon).
