Screen protector

There is also another wet-applied protector, like the Zagg, that I researched that doesn't have orange peel. It's called "ghost shield" or something, but I'm not sure if it is rubbery or not.

Sent from my MoPho using Tapatalk.

Tried Ghost Shield on my EVO as well. I liked it, but still didn't feel as smooth as SGP.

Well I poked my phone face pretty hard with my car ignition key an hour ago and was glad it had a screen protector, shortcomings of the Zagg aside. And no I don't Really like the rubbery feel. I've never had microbubbles form after installation.

IIRC, SGP was one I had decided to try but it wasn't available for the Photon. =/

Yeah, because of the phone not being marketed well, there was never the demand for it.

I had emailed about it several times, but got the same response every time.

Funny thing about this whole screen protector discussion:
Although the GORILLA GLASS is supposed to be scratch resistant / scratch proof, I've been using a screen protector since Day One, too chicken s*** to trust its durability.

Anyone out there who has had the PHOTON for quite a long time who hasn't been using a screen protector & can attest to the ruggedness of the GORILLA GLASS? (Keys, loose change, etc..)

I can attest to the rugged nature of the Gorilla glass on this bad boy. I have never used a protector. I always ensure it is just my pocket and the phone, I dont tempt fate with keys or coins etc. My screen looks exactly the way it did the moment I took it out of the box. Virgin.

Please take a moment to watch the following video. ::::::Warning:::: It is a snuff flick and the girl gets it in the end.

God I love this phone so much

Why on earth would anyone in their right mind do that to a brand new Photon. You could give it to a friend, sell it on eBay, keep it as a backup, etc... Crazy.

Lol...wtf kind of test is that? In what real world situation would anybody worry about a hammer smashing the phone directly or an anchor? Hahaha....dumbest test I've ever seen.

Like I said, it is a snuff flick and the girl gets it in the end.

Paying attention to the damage inflicted (none) by the screwdriver and exacto knife, it backs up my claim on the strength of the screen.

Well my Zagg invisible shield started to peel off, and I helped it the rest the way. Gonna bring it back to best buy. It started to peel at the upper left, next to the proximity sensor.

I'm not sure if I will replace it with anything. (The screen sure is slick now!)

And I'd have to research about screen savers, which I'm not wanting to do.

The one that crosspatch posted above from Amazon is really good, but only thing is that it doesn't extend to the border of the phone. This doesn't matter as much, if you use a case.

If you're like me and don't use a case, I've heard the skinomi screen protector actually feels glossier than the Invisible shield one. I still have yet to find a screen protector that actually covers the entire screen up to the boarders (like SGP screen protectors do). I did find these on Amazon that I was about to try, but decided against it since I'm likely upgrading the phone again this summer.

Amazon.com: Amzer Anti-Glare Screen Protector with Cleaning Cloth for Motorola Photon 4G MB855 - 1 Pack - Screen Protector - Retail Packaging - Clear: Cell Phones & Accessories

Based on the pictures, those are the only 2 that I found that seem like they cover the entire screen all the way up to the boarder of the phone.

If you look on this example pic, the top of the screen protector has a cutout specifically for the speaker, instead of leaving the top portion of the screen (above the speaker) unprotected.
