screen protector?

never had one before and never had issues with the screen on my previous phone the HTC incredible 2.

from what i read these phones have "gorilla glass" which i assume is extremely durable.

never been a fan of the screen protectors because no matter how perfect you apply them, you always get even a tiny bubble.

are they necessary for these phones or does the "gorilla glass" do an excellent job in protection?

thanks

Scratch resistant is not scratch proof. Drop your phone screen down on asphalt or end up with sand in your pocket, your screen can get scratched no matter what iteration of GG you have. A Verizon rep put the screen protector on for me without bubbles or dust. He noticed one the first time laying it down and put a loop of Scotch tape around his finger, lifted the protector and picked the particle up. Good luck!

It took me a couple times, but I have got it down to an art with my favorite brand, zagg. Another nice thing, the film protectors absorb a lot of energy, and protect against screen breakage. :) also a lot of times best buy employees will install it for you. Or kiosk employees in a mall if you have one.

No matter what they claim gorilla glass can shatter. Ghost Armor is an excellent screen protector brand. You can find the nearest full service kiosk near you by following this link. At the kiosk they will apply the protector for you without any wrinkles or bubbles. They use a wet application process and have a drying machine on hand. Check out this youtube video about this excellent product. Ghost Armor - YouTube

My guess is that you are not going to like it. I always had a screen protector until I got the Bionic. I got the insurance policy instead. The difference in clarity of the screen without the protector is simply incredible.

(No there were no bubbles under the previous screen protectors.)
