Accessories Screen Protectors

I would never buy another invisible shiled (zagg) after i had it for my treo, it gives it a very rubbery feel and the edges start to peel and accumulate dust (esp if u have a full body kit). Plus the application (using liquid) is not something I would want to do w/ an expensive phone.

w/ my iphone I used Power Supprot Crystal Film screen protector and it was one of the best I've used, but they only make it for apple products so I was out of luck w/ the evo.

reading online came across reviews for the Steinheil Ultra Crystal, application was similar to the crystal shield (no water) so I gave it a try and ordered it off ebay, and it is a very good screen protector, you cannot tell it's there, no rubbery feeling, still feels like glass when touching the screen...recommended :)

I like the wet application screen protectors, i can never get the static in place without debris underneath. I had a zagg and just got the phantom skinz matte finish, and it is my favorite. It takes a bit to get used to but no fingerprints and no glare. the screen is a little grainy, but well worth it!

I agree. I don't know how people can get the "dry" ones in place in one motion. And assuming you don't get it the first time you have to pick at a corner to lift it up, which often damages the film. Even if you don't, you still get either fingerprints and or dust particles underneath pretty often. The beauty of the wet application is the ease of maneuvering the protector in place after you lay it on the screen. And with wet fingertips it's a lot easier to avoid fingerprints. My bestskinsever turned out great. I would try the Steinheil anti fingerprint as this is the one issue I deal with every day...but I just don't feel confident I'd have success getting in on straight.

Gadget Guard- eBay, cheap and I told them that I had a damaged one and they sent another full body protection kit even though I only ordered a screen protector. Still best one I have ever had.

I had a Zagg on my previous phone and didn't like it.

Their up side is they're crazy tough.

Their down side is they're rubbery, grippy and bad for smooth swiping.

They're also porous and will absorb oil from your skin over time. Chances are you won't notice it, but if you have one for a while then take it off it will have a definite yellowish brown tint to it.

I didn't like the zagg either.

I took it off and am using whatever came with my otterbox coommuter case. It's VERY clear, can't even notice it on the phone, but not anti-anything so it requires cleaning. I love the way it went on, dry, and kind of "self-applies" itself.

The zagg was super easy to take off too, like it had no adhesive at all, or very little. I think if I was using JUST the zagg, and not a case that wrapped around the screen edges, the zagg would have lifted easily.

Does the screen protector show scratches? I have noticed that most of the cheaper priced protectors scratch super easy, they do protect the screen but get so scratched up that it makes the phone look terrible. I tried some cheapos on my TP and had to replace them about once a week. After I used those 4 that came with my purchase I bought a Clear Protector and it lasted the rest of the time I had the phone.

For those with the Stenheil, who has the Ultra Crystal and who has the Ultra Oleophobic? My main concerns are, what is the difference in clarity between the two, and which one is more resistant to scratching? I hate how the cheap screen protectors show a scratch almost every time you touch the screen. I loved how my Clear Protector didnt show the first mark or scratch after 8 months of use, but hated how it felt rubbery.

Does the Stenheil Ultra Crystal have the cut out for the front camera? I am looking at buying a cover and just want the best cover. These Stenheil covers are very good. How easy are they to install?
