Accessories Screen Protectors

Well I have had a screen protector on my X since the day I bought it. The Verizon rep put it on for me before I left the store. It was a VZW brand and was anti repfelctive. It worked very well. I decided since it had about 6 months of wear on it I would change it. WOW, when I stripped it off the clarity and colors really pop with no protectorr. No way I'm putting another one on. I'm not hard on the phone so hopefully there will be minimal scratches.

Personally I would never use anti glare for that reason, everybody says they do that.

In my experience the best screen protectors I have used are the cheap 1 dollar clear ones off ebay. And I have used zagg, steinheill, etc.. etc.. the exspensive ones.

The cheap ones on ebay are super thin and completely clear. I am 22 with 20/20 vision and I cant tell there is any protector on there. Also for me my finger wouldn't swipe smoothly across the glass, so the protector got rid of that problem as well.

6 Motorola DROID X LCD Screen Protector Guard KIT MB810 - eBay (item 160553078372 end time Mar-01-11 15:19:03 PST)

you just inspired me to pull mine off. I too was suckered in on them at the store. WOW, the screen just makes me feel giddy, like its a new phone again.

Ebay, here I come.

I would be somewhat cautious about those cheap ones. I got some from ebay that were practically free and they were worthless. I hate the static kind as they seem to ding and scratch much more easily than the "wet" ones. For those that don't know, using water with one drop of soap makes the wet ones easy to apply and they are pretty clear IMHO.

I've had the phantom skinz on my phone for about 3 months now, love it! covers the entire screen from edge to edge so you don't even notice it. Easy to clean and the clarity of the screen is as if nothing is there. I purchased it with the carbon fiber mono chromatic body skinz too. Still able to place it in the Motorola car and desk dock, works for me!

Get the steinheil crystal clear protector. Its as clear as not having one on and doesn't get that orange peel effect that the invisible shield gets. I highly recommend it. The website is like sgb.com or something like that.

I second this. I was a die-hard hater of such protectors (hell, I bought a Trident Kraken just for the built-in protector that didn't need application), but Steinheil crystal is excellent. You just need to make sure you apply it in a clean environment; the shower method is the only way I could get it on without dust getting trapped. The humidity means the dust level was nihil, and mine looks as if I've got nothing on it at all.

The shower method?
