Help Screen Question

Today I noticed a very light minor hair scratch on the right upper hand corner of my Optimus. I don't have a screen protector installed. I have never used a screen protector on any of my devices and have always been fine without them. Is it possible to get rid of the scratch? It's not that big of deal, it's just sad that occurred on the second week.:(

Use a screen protector. There is no way to get rid of a scratch without buffering the screen witch would make it unusable. ZAGG invisible shield is by far the best. Lifetime warranty too.

Thanks! I'll look that up. I think it probably happened today. I am guessing it probably happened when I was traveling today.

Are the cheap screen protectors from eBay and Amazon all that bad? Also, I read somewhere that the screen protectors sometimes hide the scratches. Is that true? Like I mentioned this scratch is so small you can only recognize it in full sunlight. However, it is a wake up call to me to purchase screen protection.

I'm using cheap ones from amazon and I dont think theyre that bad. It feels a little different at first, but it hasn't affected anything for me (fingers sticking when I try to swype, etc.)

I get a packet of the cheapies on Amazon, 5 for $12 or so, and change them out regularly. Note - some aren't clipped around the top left edge for the motion-sensor-dohickee thing - heard a tale of gesture woes from another forum - I just make a little snip before I put mine on.

I bought some cheap screen protectors from Amazon for my Intercept, and they work amazingly well. I would imagine ones for the OpV from Amazon (from reputable sellers) are just as good. ;)

There's a reason there cheap and a reason they give you so many of them. ;)

Re: motion sensor dohickee. Lol
Anyway, I didn't even think about that but I notice mine isnt clipped and it seems fine as is

I might give the cheap ones a try first. But then again at least I didn't wait to buy the Triumph and have that screen scratch. I'd rather have a phone that costs $160 to scratch opposed to a $300 phone scratching.:)

I also got the first speck of dust in my phone about a week ago. Why do I have to be so OCD with my electronics?:D

Nothing wrong with being OCD about your devices! I slap a screen protector on all of mine the second they come out of their boxes. I had a Blackberry Curve that got a bunch of dust behind its screen...it drove me nuts every time I looked at it! :o

I get laughed at because I am so OCD about my devices.:)

I have to admit my iPod Touch probably has the best screen I have ever owned in terms of durability. If I recall, I only have one little scratch on the screen. I've never once slapped a screen protector on it or any of my devices. Which is really shocking to me seeing as I am OCD about my devices.

A couple of years ago I ordered a "Excellent" used Blackberry 7100t on eBay. When I received it the whole screen was scratched and the keypad worked badly. Long story short, amazingly the seller refunded $18 so I could go on eBay and buy a new screen cover and keypad. I remember the screen getting full of dust too. Towards the end I could care less though seeing as I didn't have data so I wasn't always looking at the screen to notice or care.

Back to my Optimus, the scratch probably occurred sometime during my trip. I had it out the whole time:) I am definitely considering screen protectors now. But do they sometimes hide small scratches? If so that would be great!

As an update I ended up buying a cheap pack of screen protectors from Amazon to see how I like them. Better than nothing, right?:)
