screen removal

has anyone successfully removed the optimus F7's (Boost Mobile, LG870 - NOT the USC US780) digitizer? I've tried to remove the digitizer, but I always get stuck because I feel like I'll rip the ribbon cable. (it doesn't seem like it can be removed, but I may be wrong)
any help? I might post some pictures later

on similar news, I successfully replaced the screen on my F7! yay me! I ended up having to use a hair dryer to melt the glue off the frame thingy. oh well huzzah

i want to replace my screen myself on a scale of one to 10 how hard is it and what walk though did you use
