Root Screen Resolution Apps

Evening Everyone,

I did a quick search but did not see anything related to resolution apps for the HTC EVO V. Has anyone played around with or tried any resolution changing apps such as the one below?

I used to use a DPI / resolution app on my Triumph to make the display smaller but I'm not sure if the DPI / resolution on the HTC EVO V can be changed since it is a different style display than the Triumph.

Thanks for any answers!

The screen resolution is already significantly higher than the Triumph, 920x560 vs 800x480, changing the dpi to adjust the resolution has been shown to break a lot of apps compatibility with the phone, personally don't think that it's worth the problems, but if you want to you can try that app.

If I start messing with the DPI on any of my devices, it always causes compatability issues with various apps. Like OB, it's not for me, but there's no harm in giving it a go.

I run a DPI of 200 on my phone, but like others have said it eliminates compatibility of most apps on the Play store. If you want both a modified DPI and app compatibility, the only ROM to use is Pacman. Unfortunately, I ran into some serious issues on PACMAN so I just accept the reduced compatibility and run 200 DPI on Mobster's Lite.
