Root screen rotates after flash to 2.2

i've just flashed a I9000ZSJPE rom into my i897 but the screen rotates in its own decision. i remember that there's a kernel fix for this problem and also the function keys. can anyone tell me the name of the fix or where to get this fix, thanks!

You need a reoriented kernel if you're using an i9000 rom, go to the xda dev forums and look in the captivate>dev section for xcal's or setiron's kernel.
But if i were you i'd flash the newer jpx rom that just came out, samsung updated the rfs drivers in it, it so fast it doesn't even need a lagfix [ROM]*Official*Darky Port using Xcaliburinhand's i9000 Reoriented - xda-developers

Cant complain, love the gingy theme and the base rom itself is nice and fast.

the problem i found is the life of the battery! how can i adjust the speed of the cpu?
