screen shot of lock screen?

I tried googling the answer to this but I had no luck. Is there anyway to take a screen shot of the lock screen? I tried both the hand swipe and using the S-pen, couldn't get it either method to work. All feedback will be appreciated, thank you!

Just press the power button and the home button at the same time

with the s-pen all you do it hold the s-pen button and pushed the pen on the screen
