Help screen touch jerky/freezing after installing apps

New user, Desire HD. Downloaded Watchdog app - ok. Downloaded Official Ebay app - app worked fine but the photo Gallery jerky and unresponsive to touch - photos scroll across halfway, stop, then go properly across. Also the calendar froze and I couldn't do any entries. Uninstalled app, restarted phone then all ok. Scroll smooth again.
Today downloaded the Kindle app. Same thing happened with the Gallery. Uninstalled then all ok again.
Contacted HTC hotline - no help. Any suggestions?

Try settings....applications....development....tick USB debugging
