Help Screen unresponsive to touch

Hey guys, love the new device but suddenly the screen is not accurately responding to touch. Can't type, touching one app opens others, can't pull down tray without "clicking" on something else...how do you hard reset this thing? I powered off and powered on but no fix.

UPDATE - it is clearly the charger that is the problem. Plug in, keyboard goes to crap. Unplug, keyboard works great. So odd. Typical micro-USB you find everywhere.

EDIT/SOLUTION? -

Googling some other forums and I think it explained the problem pretty well. The touchscreen requires a certain amount of power to run effectively. When switching from battery to AC, it needs to maintain that level. My aftermarket charger is 750 mAH. The stock adapter is 1200 mAH, and has no touchscreen issues when plugged in.

Good thing to note when using car or USB connections. It has to be 1200 mAH.

Power it down. Hold vol down + power until you get to the bootloader. Scroll the menu with the vol keys to recovery and hit power to select. From there, you can do a factory reset (use same keys to navigate/select).

Will factory reset delete all my apps? (Dumb question I know)

Strangely enough it was fixed when I unplugged from the non-stock charger. Weird.
