Root Screen won't turn off

My mom's esteem screen won't turn off unless you take the battery out if you shut it down it just turns back on... also her phone seems to refresh every minute... I've tried all the roms on here and same results. Anyone know how I can fix this

Do you think it could be the power button? Could be dirty or loose.

Hmms maybe her screentimeout is 1MIN idk but ill check tomorrow

And its not the power key cuhs we checked it before she bought an extended battery

Well it's either a hardware issue or possibly a setting in the build.prop.

Are there any display, brightness or battery saving apps on the phone? If so check to make sure there isn't a setting to keep the screen on and not time out.

Is the phone rooted and or have a custom ROM installed? And it theme?

well i rooted it and i installed the ld-lg rom
i think it is something with the build prop.
cuhs she gets curious and starts messing with things

Well that is definitely not one place to poke around unless you have some sort of knowledge of what to do.

Ill look and see if anything sticks out.

How about you post your build.prop so we can compare it to what it should be?

I'll post my moms build.prop right now before I go to downgrade it to zvb with pb recovery like I did the time my phone was acting weird
