Help Screens close unexpectantly

I have this problem several times per day and doing a soft reset temporarily solves the problem for a few hours. When I click on messages, or open an app the page loads for a few seconds then closes and returns to the home page on its own. This started happening after I upgraded to GB and did a factory reset.

Any ideas?

Changing the display time is pointless I take it.
Bug mayhaps get avast or lookout from the market and scan everything and your SD card as well.
Could be a malicious app, root apps?

I downloaded Avast and scanned everything (including SD card) and it came back all clear. This has to have something to do with the GB update as nothing has been changed or added since.

The same thing is happening to my samsung captivate and only started after I updated to GB, I so regret doing it..I miss some of the options that they took away in this vsn :-( and I can't even send text msgs or make a call without trying numerous times! aaargh!!!
