I had same issues with shootme. I downloaded screenshot.

Mine come out pink as well. As if only a few bit-planes are taken instead of all of them. You might want to write the author. Description says you need Root access. That may be the problem.

For screenshot to work, looks like you need Root access also.

There's no free lunch with screen grabbing I guess.
